My first experience with Merle Norman was when my mom took me to the local studio in Morrilton for a makeover on my 13th birthday. I never would have guessed that years later, I’d own that very studio.
While attending college, I worked in the studio part-time. After graduation, my husband and I moved to Harrison, AR, where I worked in marketing and public relations. But the dream of owning my own business never left me.
That dream became a reality in 2006 when I purchased the studio from my former boss. The decision to take that leap of faith wasn’t easy—but I knew in my heart it was the right one. Years later, after a devastating building collapse that destroyed my original location, I found myself questioning everything. But I couldn’t let that dream go. With the support of amazing customers, family, and friends, I reopened the studio just three months later in a charming new space.
Today, Merle Norman & More is more than a makeup store. With the “Try Before You Buy” philosophy and a strong focus on boutique clothing, jewelry, gifts, and event services, we’re proud to be a place where people come to feel good about themselves.
